I met Tom & Marielle in a Café in Portsmouth over a year away from their wedding day, after being recommended my services by a friend, and also a relative (who later became a wedding client too!)
Although Tom was originally from the area, they were currently living in London and making visits back to plan their wedding by the sea. The sea played a huge factor in the planning of their wedding. Marielle, having studied Marine Biology at University, where she met Tom, had always wanted the sea to play a part in their day.
A few months before the big day we headed to Hayling Beach, not far from their eventual wedding location to shoot some pre-wedding photographs for them. These were taken moreless on the spot where Tom proposed and provided a great opportunity to get to know them both before the day arrived...
Fast-forward to the day itself, and it couldn't have been a more wonderful occasion. The sun shone all day long and Tournerbury Woods Estate provided the perfect setting for such an occasion. Tournerbury is an outdoor venue that combines the outdoor, woodland wedding with panoramic views of the sea, due to its coastal location.
Tom & Marielle's eye for detail, wonderfully laid-back approach and fabulous guests gave me all the ingredients I needed to make some truly outstanding images for them.
That's enough from me, and on with (some of!) the images....
Thanks again to Tom & Marielle for letting me be part of their wedding day, to Tournerbury Woods for being so beautiful and to Rowena for being a great assistant as always!
